The number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in Bulgaria is now 800, the National Crisis Staff has announced.
17 new cases have been confirmed on 16 April, 10 of them in the capital city. Sofia is the biggest coronavirus cluster in the country. 227 of the Covid-19 patients are in hospital, and 37 are in intensive care.
38 people with a confirmed coronavirus infection have died. 122 have recovered, or 15% of all people who have tested positive for coronavirus.
According to the mathematical model applied, the medical authorities register 2 in 11-7 cases, said the head of the National Crisis Staff General Mutafchiyski.
