53 new Covid-19 cases in past 24 hours

On May 7, the National Headquarters against the spread of Covid-19 announced that 53 cases of infection were confirmed in Bulgaria. In the past 24 hours, 1 163 samples were tested. So far, the total number of samples has reached nearly 53 thousand.

19 of the new cases are in Sofia, out of which 12 are in social care homes. In Yambol there are 12 new cases, in Pazardzhik - 5, in Pleven - 5, Pernik - 4, Burgas -3, Blagoevgrad - 2, Vratsa - 2, in Kyustendil -1. There is a new case of a medic infected, it was reported. A total of 384 people have recovered so far, or 22%. Two new coronavirus deaths were registered, bringing the total number to 84 and mortality to 4.6%.
