Coronaviruses are very common, Bulgarian chemist says

Many seasonal diseases in winter are caused by coronaviruses, Lyubomir Nechev, a chemist and vice president of a biotechnological pharmaceutical company in Massachusetts, USA, has told the BNR. Nechev's company has been developing a way to prevent the virus from multiplying in the body in case of infection. According to him, autumn was a good season for testing newly developed drugs that protect against coronavirus, especially among risk groups, including medical staff, in case a second wave of the disease occured. Although the virus suffers from certain mutations, if they were small they would not change the activity of the drug against it, Nechev said.
