"If there are elections today, GERB will lose half of its deputies," Tsvetan Tsvetanov, until recently the second most influential member of the party and today the author of his own political project, told the Bulgarian National Television (BNT). According to him, out of 1 million and 140 thousand voters in 2017, 600 thousand are currently certain to vote for GERB.

The politician also said that he did not go to last night's parallel protests, but if he had to choose, he would go to the one in defense of the presidential institution. According to him, the rally in support of GERB was organized by the ruling party and the people were forced by the mayors to attend. "This is a crisis survival and there is fear in the party," he said.
