Journalist Valeria Veleva: Authorities are too late for dialogue with protesters

"A cabinet reshuffle in the way the government sees it or gives signs for would not reassure the protesters," Valeria Veleva, a well-known Bulgarian journalist and analyst of the country's internal political processes, told the BNR, citing Prime Minister Boyko Borissov's statement that he would replace three ministers in his cabinet. In her opinion, the government officials have acted too late in seeking a dialogue with the protesters, although they said they were ready for it.
"All the statements of the government at the moment speak more of a desire to retain the power at any cost," the journalist said.
