Protesters have accused the government and the Anti-Corruption Commission of causing damage to the state in the amount of 500 million euros by allowing a deal for the telecommunications company BTC.

In the protest tent camp in front of the government building, attorney Nikolay Hadjigenov said that in order to carry out the deal, the state trustees of the bankrupt Corporate Commercial Bank and the Anti-Corruption Commission have lifted the seizures on shares, BGNES agency reported. According to Velislav Minekov, this is to the benefit of the Russian Bank for Foreign Trade and a private businessmen related to the government.

Another leader of the protesters, politician Hristo Ivanov, said he had already contacted the prosecutor's office about the deal. On July 31, it became clear from the Commercial Register that the United Group is the new owner of BTC.
