303 are the new cases of coronavirus infection in the country for the last 24 hours with 5,701 tests performed, according to the National Information Portal. The highest number of new infections is registered in Blagoevgrad - 97, followed by Varna - 54, Plovdiv - 45, and Sofia - 28. Among medical professionals, there are currently 252 infected doctors and 240 nurses.

During the past day, 9 people died because of Covid-19 complications. 190 were cured.

A total of 872 patients are currently in hospitals, with 44 patients in intensive care units.
The Chief State Health Inspector Assoc. Prof. Angel Kunchev told BNT that the coronavirus was developing unevenly in Bulgaria. While 100 new infected people have been identified in Blagoevgrad, there are areas where no infections have been identified.

If the foreign tourists coming to Bulgaria test positive, they will be returned to their country of origin. Almost every day we organize a transfer of Romanian tourists from Greece across the Danube bridge, Kunchev said. The wave of Covid-19 in the Balkans has subsided a bit, but continues to grow in Western European countries, the inspector said.
