Anti-government protests in Bulgaria continue for 29th day

Participants in the traditional evening protest on the 29th day of the civil discontent in the capital of Bulgaria - Sofia, have started to gather. Demands remain the same - resignations of the government and the chief prosecutor, as well as machine voting. Protests continue in a number of cities across the country.

The tent camp on the Stara Zagora - Haskovo road in the area of ​​the former Stara Zagora airport has been staying for the seventh day.

A protest rally will be held tonight in Plovdiv. Protesters plan to cross the city's main street and block intersections.

A blockade of the traffic on the Sofia-Varna road, in the area of the Ablanitsa road junction near the city of Lovech, has already taken place.

The Ministry of Interior has told journalists that it is ready to react immediately and organize detours during protests and blockades of main roads in the country, BNR reported.

Earlier today, after a coalition council, the chairman of the NFSB party, Valeri Simeonov, said that the cabinet and Prime Minister Boyko Borissov would fulfill their mandate to the end.
