Barricades in Sofia remain despite police warnings

Three major intersections downtown Sofia - "Eagles’ Bridge", the one in front of Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski” and the one in the so-called “triangle of power”, remain blocked by protesters demanding the resignations of the prime minister and the chief prosecutor.

The night passed peacefully, despite the intention to dismantle the tent camps announced yesterday by the Sofia police. "We came at night because there is no place in Plovdiv to protest against the government," said one of the citizens, adding that there had been only one attempt at verbal provocation.
