Unsuccessful attempt for removing one of protest tent camps in Sofia

After a failed attempt to dismantle the tent camp at the crossroads in front of the Sofia University, the blockade in the area remains intact. This happened while most of the protesters headed for a protest rally in front of the Boyana residence, where a National Meeting of the Prosecutor's Office was held.

Only two elderly men and a woman remained in the tents in front of Sofia University and they were attacked by counter-protesters.

At the same time in the morning, protesters laid flowers in front of the district administration in Sofia. The occasion was a Facebook post of the regional governor Ilian Todorov with insulting qualifications towards the participants in the anti-government demonstrations. The protesters demanded a meeting with Ilian Todorov and said that he should defend his opinion about them.

The protests continue for the 47th consecutive night. Three key intersections downtown Sofia - at Eagles' Bridge, the one in front of the Rectorate of Sofia University and in the area of Nezavisimost Square remain closed.
In the early afternoon, at Eagles' Bridge, protesters issued a joint statement pointing out that they were against changing the protest's targets.

They recalled their demands - resignation of the government, early elections organized by the caretaker government, change of leadership of the CEC and "Information Services", introduction of machine and remote voting, resignation of the Prosecutor General, reform of the judicial system that is to be carried out by a new National Assembly, elected after fair elections.

Starting today, people dissatisfied with the blockades of the city's crossroads will collect signatures near the National Palace of Culture for the resignation of President Rumen Radev as a "disintegrator of the nation."
