On 77th day of protests “toxic trio” presents plan for Bulgaria

For the 77th time last night protesters demanding the resignation of the government and of the prosecutor general gathered in the space between the buildings of the Presidency, the Council of Ministers and the National Assembly.

As always, they later marched to Eagles’ Bridge where they temporarily blocked the intersection. The old building of the national assembly, which the protesters passed by on their way to Eagles’ Bridge, was tightly cordoned off by police because of the clashes between protesters and police the previous night.

At the demonstration the so-called “toxic trio” presented a plan for Bulgaria, tracing the road ahead by identifying new ideas by free people. The plan has five points – putting an end to the thievery, change and a fight for justice, investing in the future of the generations, economic growth based on scientific research, innovations and digitization, quality and effectiveness of state institutions.

Unlike the previous day – the night of the so-called third Grand National Uprising when there were clashes between protesters and police - there was no tension at last night’s protest.

A counter-protest was organized at the National Palace of Culture by supporters of the government demanding the resignation of President Rumen Radev.
