Bulgarian potato growers want support from PM Boyko Borissov

Thousands of tons of Bulgarian potatoes have been stored in warehouses or will remain unharvested in the field, the Association of Potato Producers warns. The reason is the produce is unsalable, as Bulgarian potatoes are more expensive than those produced in other European countries where potato growers receive higher European subsidies. In search of a solution to the problem affecting hundreds of families in the poorest regions of the country, potato growers want an urgent meeting with Prime Minister Boyko Borissov and Agriculture Minister Desislava Taneva, our reporter Veselina Milanova has informed.
