Thousands of tons of Bulgarian potatoes have been stored in warehouses or will remain unharvested in the field, the Association of Potato Producers warns. The reason is the produce is unsalable, as Bulgarian potatoes are more expensive than those produced in other European countries where potato growers receive higher European subsidies.
