Residents of Bulgarian towns and villages near the Danube in the region of Pleven have felt an earthquake. There are no data about damage or injured people. The tremors were two and were felt about 1:50 hours after midnight, citizens say.
The earthquake occurred on the territory of Romania, the Institute of Geophysics, Geodesy and Geography at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences has told BNR. It was registered near the Romanian towns of Craiova and Turnu Măgurele and the Bulgarian town of Gulyantsi. The institute has confirmed that the quake was felt in the Pleven region. Its strength was 3.7 on the Richter scale and the epicenter was at a depth of 20 kilometers.
