Hopes exist for better summer tourist season

Forecasts show that the tourist flow from abroad in the coming summer will be lower than that of season 2019, while domestic tourism is expected to be slightly below the level of 2019 and close to achieved results in 2020, BTA has reported. Opportunities exist for attracting more Bulgarian guests who traditionally spend their holidays abroad, Minister of Tourism Mariana Nikolova has told the Tourism Advisory Council.

Relatively high interest is expected from Bulgarian visitors towards small resorts, as well as towards sea and spa tourism. The problem is the later start of reservations, the decline in the use of air transport, as well as the fact that children are not subject to vaccination, Minister Nikolova added.
