There are more than 2,500 polling stations at risk of vote buying or controlled voting, indicates an analysis by the Anti-Corruption Fund.
They were established on the basis of electoral data indicators after 2013, such as large number of invalid votes, abrupt change in voter turnout or in political leanings. The high-risk polling stations can be seen on the designated interactive map on the Fund’s website, said Anti-Corruption Fund co-chair Boyko Stankushev.
“We believe that this additional attention by the public and the media can have a considerable deterrent effect on the people involved in this corrupt process. The results of the analysis have been handed over to the Interior Ministry management,” Boyko Stankushev said.
