More than 30 young Afghans without documents have been detained after a minibus was stopped on the Trakia highway near Plovdiv, BNT reported. The illegal migrants were transported by two men. Interpreters are helping the investigation in order to clarify how the migrants entered Bulgarian territory.

Border police also detained 20 other Afghans near Belogradchik near the Bulgarian-Serbian border. They were traveling in a minibus driven by a 20-year-old driver from Sofia, the Border Police said. 18 young men and a woman with a 4-month-old baby were crammed inside. A 61-year-old trafficker of people from Vidin, who was supposed to take them across the border, was also detained.
