More than 15,000 Covid-19 deaths since start of pandemic

2,126 is the number of newly registered coronavirus infections in the past 24 hours out of 15,638 tests performed, the positivity rate is14%, Single Coronavirus Information Portal data show.

The highest number of new infections is in Sofia - 522, in Plovdiv – 194, in Varna – 166 and in Stara Zagora – 157.

9,195 patients are being treated in hospital, 801 of them in ICU. 121 coronavirus patients have died in the past day, bringing the Covid-19 death toll to over 15,000. The number of daily recoveries is 3,642. The number of active cases is 65, 754.

13, 755 doses of coronavirus vaccine have been administered in the past 24 hours, bringing the number of vaccinations to 634,129. The number of people who have received a second dose of Covid-19 vaccine is 126,884.
