No new Covid-19 infections registered in 15 of Bulgaria's 28 regions

27 is the number of new Covid-19 cases out of a little over 4,100 tests performed in the country in the past 24 hours, a positivity rate of 0.7%, Single Coronavirus Information Portal data show.

No new infections have been reported in 15 regions of the country. In Sofia the number of newly registered coronavirus cases is 11, in Varna – 3, in Veliko Turnovo and in the region of Sofia – 2. The number of active cases is 10,226.

1,745 coronavirus patients are being treated in hospital, 207 of them in intensive care. One person has died in the past 24 hours, 7 have recovered.

Though the open-air vaccination centres were functioning over the weekend, a mere 3,134 vaccinations were administered on Sunday, bringing the total number of vaccinations up to 1,660,175. The number of people who are fully vaccinated is 749,000. 

Though Monday data may not be very telling due to lower testing numbers and registration of new infections over the weekend, they are nevertheless optimistic compared to previous Mondays, statistics show.
