Slight easing of coronavirus restrictions for arrivals from Bulgaria in England and Scotland

Photo: archive

As of 19 July arrivals in England and Scotland from Bulgaria will be exempt from a 10-day quarantine. According to information by the Bulgarian embassy in London the reason is that Bulgaria is now on Britain’s green list of countries.

48 hours prior to their departure Bulgarian citizens have to fill in a PLF form, take a Covid-19 test up to 72 hours prior to departure, book and pay for a Covid-19 test in the two days after their arrival. Upon their arrival they must take a Covid-19 test on the first or on the second day. If the result returns positive they will be placed under quarantine. They will have to self-isolate if the NHS Test & Trace pings them as having travelled with someone who has tested positive for coronavirus.
