909 newly registered Covid-19 infections, surge in hospitalizations

909 is the number of newly registered Covid-19 infections in this country out of 14,027 tests conducted over the past 24 hours, a coronavirus positivity rate of 6.5%, Single Coronavirus Information Portal data show. The highest number of new infections is in Sofia - 172, in Varna – 103 and in Burgas - 88. 

The number of coronavirus patients being treated in hospital has gone up by 124 in the past day, reaching 4,572, of whom 380 are in intensive care.

10 Covid-19 patients have died in the past 24 hours, bringing the death toll to 19,469, the number of recoveries is 173. The active number of coronavirus cases in the country is 37,633. 

3,073 doses of vaccine have been administered in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of vaccinations to 2,406,030. The number of people in the country who are now fully vaccinated is 1,234,979.
