139 coronavirus deaths in Bulgaria at start of week

There were 1,998 new coronavirus cases in this country in the past day. The number of infected increased by 1,561 compared to the previous day. 8% of a total of 24,787 tests returned positive result, according to the Single Coronavirus Information Portal.

The number of active coronavirus patients rose from 36,577 to 38,363. The number of hospitalized patients has reached 4,581. The number of patients in intensive care declined from 378 to 370 but the number of Covid-related deaths rose sharply from 52 to 139. The number of recoveries in the past day reached 1,089.

8,050 vaccines were administered on Monday. The total number of administered vaccine doses in Bulgaria has reached 2,416,030. The number of people with complete immunization has reached 1,242,231.
