Bulgaria reports 5,256 daily Covid-19 infections, 154 deaths

5,256 is the number of newly registered coronavirus cases out of 53,300 tests performed in this country over the past 24 hours, a positivity rate of around 10%, National Coronavirus Information Portal data show.

154 is the number of Covid-related deaths in the past day, 92% of them among the unvaccinated. 1,581 is the number of reported recoveries. 7,680 Covid-19 patients are being treated in hospital, 676 of them in intensive care.

23,164 doses of vaccine have been administered in the past 24 hours. 1,503,885 is the number of people now fully vaccinated in the country. 17,672 booster doses have so far been administered in Bulgaria.
