Minister of Culture confirms he will evict GERB from National Palace of Culture offices

Minister of Culture Velislav Minekov was summoned to the National Assembly to answer questions regarding the eviction of the Trud newspaper staff from premises owned by the Ministry of Culture.

Prof. Minekov stated that “the Ministry has no relations with Trud newspaper”, and asked why an extraordinary session of parliament had not been called when the Bulgarian National Radio was taken off the air.  

The caretaker minister of culture confirmed he would invite GERB party to move out of their political headquarters in the National Palace of Culture.

Minister Minekov stated that, as tenant, the party was to blame for the dire financial situation of the National Palace of Culture. GERB party called on Velislav Minekov to step down from the parliamentary floor as he was not answering the questions he was being asked in essence.
