Dozens of villages in the region of Smolyan in the Rhodopes have remained without electricity, some of them for three days in a row. The reason is broken power lines after heavy rain and snow in the region. The deputy mayor of Smolyan municipality Mariana Tsekova told BNR that the emergency teams were actively working to eliminate the accidents.

There is no access to the village of Trigrad near Devin, as well as to the village of Kiselchovo, BNR correspondent in Smolyan, Radostina Chernokova, has reported.
