Bulgaria reports 3,176 new cases of Covid-19 out of 26,832 tests performed

3,176 new cases of Covid-19 have been confirmed in Bulgaria in the past 24 hours out of 26,832 tests performed, Single Coronavirus Portal data shows. Nearly 12% of the tests have returned positive result. 73% of the new cases are among the unvaccinated. The highest number of new infections was reported in Sofia-1,052, followed by Burgas-349 and Varna-322.

 5.009 patients are being treated in hospital, including 517 in intensive care units. 226 patients were admitted to hospital in the past day. 83% of the new hospitalizations are among the unvaccinated.

45 people with established coronavirus infection have died in the past 24 hours. All Covid-19-related deaths were among the unvaccinated. 1,795 people have been reported cured in the past day. The number of active cases has exceeded 127,000. 

11,276 vaccines were administered on Saturday. There are 1,940,402 people with completed immunization. 383,693 have had a booster shot.
