Weather forecast for Bulgaria for Monday, January 10

Temperatures continue to drop

The weather on Sunday night will be cloudy. Rain is expected in Western Bulgaria. Light easterly and northeasterly winds are also in the forecast. The minimum temperatures will fluctuate between 1°C and 6°C, for Sofia- around 1°C.

More rain is expected in the western parts of the country on Monday, January 10.  The eastern parts of Bulgaria will see some precipitation in the afternoon hours. Moderate to strong easterly and northeasterly winds will bring cold air. Temperatures will start to decrease and the rain in Northwestern Bulgaria will turn into snow. The maximum temperatures will fluctuate between 3°C and 8°C, for Sofia- around 4°C.

Cloudy weather and snow are expected in the mountains. There will be rain at an altitude of 1,200 or below. Moderate to strong easterly and southeasterly winds are expected. The maximum temperature at an altitude of 1,200 meters will be around 2°C, at 2,000 meters- around minus 2°C.

The weather along Bulgaria’s Black Sea coast will be predominantly cloudy. Rain is expected mainly in the afternoon hours. Moderate to strong northeasterly winds are also in the forecast for the coastline. The maximum temperatures will fluctuate between 8°C and 10°C, similar to the seawater temperatures. Sea state between 2 and 4.
