It is not clear yet when Bulgaria’s Premier Kiril Petkov will pay an official visit to Skopje, representatives of the Council of Ministers told the BNR. Initially, Premier Petkov’s visit to Skopje was scheduled for January 18 on the occasion of the 30th anniversary since the recognition of the independence of the Republic of North Macedonia, the government’s press office announced.

Premier Petkov is expected to visit Skopje together with Bulgaria’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Teodora Genchovska and this country’s Minister of Transport Nikolay Sabev. However, National Assembly Speaker Nikolay Minchev tested positive for Covid-19 after yesterday’s sitting of the National Security Advisory Council summoned by President Rumen Radev. As a result, all participants at the National Security Advisory Council, including Premier Petkov, self-isolated.
