Bulgaria reports decreasing number of new infections

Bulgaria has registered 5,703 new cases of coronavirus for the last 24 hours. They are 1,359 less than a day earlier. 72.66% of newly infected persons have not been vaccinated. 19.1% of the 29,813 tests performed returned positive, with the indicator increasing by more than 0.5%, according to the National Coronavirus Information Portal.

There are now 139,593 registered active patients. For the last 24 hours, 553 infected people have been admitted to hospitals. 81% of them are not immunized. 5,257 patients are now hospitalized as 579 of them are in intensive care.
77 people with an established Covid-19 infection died on Wednesday. 71 of them were not immunized. 
30,398 vaccines were administered in Bulgaria on Tuesday. 1,954,380 Bulgarians now have completed the immunization cycle.
