Covid-19 incidence has risen by 30% for a week

There were 4,389 new coronavirus cases registered in Bulgaria in the past day. 16.15% of 27,171 tests returned positive result, according to updated data on the Coronavirus Information Portal at midnight. The biggest number of new cases was recorded in Sofia - 1,582, followed by the districts of Burgas - 445, and Plovdiv - 362.

5,237 people are being treated in a hospital as 568 are in the intensive care. 934 people recovered in the past day and 40 died. Since the beginning of the pandemic 32,042 people with Covid-19 have lost their lives.

For a week the confirmed new cases of coronavirus have risen by 29.53%, with only Yambol (-2.27%) and Shumen (-1.66%) marking a decline.

6,982 vaccines were administered in the past 24 hours. The total number of people with a completed vaccination cycle in this country has already reached 1,961,791.
