Bulgaria’s government has a plan concerning the withdrawal of Bulgarian diplomats from Ukraine, if the risk of a military conflict in the region increases. Bulgaria will send planes to evacuate diplomats, if necessary, this country’s Premier Kiril Petkov said at a briefing in Parliament.

Kiril Petkov participated at an extraordinary sitting of the National Assembly convened in connection with the Ukraine-Russia conflict and tensions between NATO and the Russian Federation. According to Premier Petkov, Bulgaria is constantly monitoring the situation and there are no grounds for concern over the next days and weeks.

The extraordinary sitting of Bulgaria’s Parliament was held at the insistence of the MPs from the coalition GERB-SDS.
