Nearly 10,000 new Covid infections registered in Bulgaria

A total of 9,916 new coronavirus cases were registered in this country in the past day. 76.4% of the new patients are non-vaccinated. More than 26% of 37,587 tests returned positive result, according to the coronavirus.bg portal.

The number of actively ill people rose to 222,161. There are 624 newly-hospitalized patients, as 83.6 percent of them are non-vaccinated. There are a total of 5,372 patients in hospitals. 519 people are in intensive care.

During the day, 70 people with Covid lost their lives. 60 of the deceased were non-vaccinated. The number of recoveries reached 4,814.

11,873 vaccines were administered on Wednesday. 1,983,763 people have already completed their immunization and 588,403 of them have also had a third booster dose.
