Bulgaria reports more than 26% positive Covid-19 cases for third day running

Bulgaria has registered 9,874 new cases of coronavirus for the last 24 hours compared to 9,916 a day earlier. 77 percent of the newly infected persons are not immunized. 26.2% of the 37,945 tests performed returned positive, according to the National Coronavirus Information Portal.

The number of actively registered patients increased by 5,120 to 227,281. There are 691 new hospital admissions. 87 percent of new hospital patients were not vaccinated. There are currently 5,455 patients in hospitals as 520 are in intensive care. Despite the high level of infection, the number of hospitalized patients remains far from previous peak rates.
78 people with an established Covid-19 infection died during the past day. 66 of them were been immunized. 4,676 recoveries were reported in the past day.
12,636 vaccines were administered on Thursday. 1,987,545 people have completed the immunization cycle. 596,235 people have received booster doses.
