Percentage of positive tests for Covid-19 in Bulgaria records slight decrease

Bulgaria has registered 9,871 new cases of Covid-19 in the past day. According to the National Coronavirus Information Portal, 23.5% of the 41,967 tests performed returned positive. 

The number of hospitalized patients is now 5,526, of which 509 are in intensive care units. There are 781 new hospital admissions, 80.92% of whom have not been vaccinated. 

71 people died in the last 24 hours, 88.73% of them were not vaccinated. 3,069 patients were reported cured.

Most new cases are registered in Sofia - 2,349, Plovdiv - 1,040, Varna - 842, Burgas - 672 and Stara Zagora - 562.

The number of people immunized during the last 24 hours is 12,796. There are already 1,991,648 people with a completed vaccination cycle in Bulgaria, and 603,840 have received a booster dose.
