Interior Ministry employees are organizing a protest in front of the National Assembly building today. The protest is organized by the Interior Ministry employees TU federation.

According to the biggest police trade union, the state budget bill does not reflect the needs of the Bulgarian public with regard to security and safety, nor does it envisage measures guaranteeing decent work and pay for the employees of the Ministry of the Interior.

“This will be the first year in 4-5 years, in which the draft budget does not envisage any pay raise for the employees of the Ministry of the Interior,” said Valentin Popov, chair of the TU federation.
