A process for the integration of Ukrainian children into Bulgaria's education system is underway, Education Minister Nikolay Denkov told Nova TV. He explained that they will attend school or kindergarten after their parents receive refugee status.

To facilitate the procedure, those arriving from Ukraine can now apply for their children to be included in the educational process. For this purpose, the department has sent a sample of applications to all schools and regional education departments.

"Those children who have dual citizenship and one Bulgarian parent can go to school directly," the minister added.

He also informed that a reduction in the tuition fees of more than 1,000 Ukrainian students studying in Bulgaria and the abolition of their rent for the students' dormitories are being discussed.
