Currently, there are about 30,000 Ukrainian citizens in our country and their number is expected to grow dramatically, Minister of Finance and Deputy Prime Minister Assen Vassilev said. According to him, the number of refugees from Ukraine coming to Bulgaria would reach hundreds of thousands. According to the Border Police, 5,900 people have entered Bulgaria for a day.

Ukrainian citizens residing in Bulgaria need to apply for refugee status by March 31 in order to receive assistance of 20.40 euro per day for a period of three months. The same measure will support the tourism sector - hotels and accommodation places. In addition, accelerated integration of Ukrainian refugees into the labor market will be implemented.
