Nearly 5,800 Ukrainian citizens have entered Bulgaria in the last 24 hours, the Bulgarian Border Police announced. At the same time, 3,400 Ukrainians have left Bulgaria.

Most refugees from the war enter Bulgaria through two border crossings between Bulgaria and Romania - the Durankulak-Vama Veche border crossing and the Danube Bridge near Ruse.

As of tomorrow, they will be able to receive a document at the border, with which they can legitimately reside in Bulgaria and gain access to the labour market, as well as the right to education, health care and social support.

Refugees can apply for international protection at border crossings, in the territorial offices of the Migration Directorate of the Ministry of Interior and in the State Agency for Refugees.
