Two former cabinet ministers, director of a state-owned company under investigation related to national children's hospital

Bulgaria's Ministry of the Interior sends to the Specialized Prosecutor's Office the materials from the investigation of the case with the construction of a national children's hospital with an opinion for initiating pre-trial proceedings. It has been established that there is evidence of a possible crime committed by two former health ministers and a director of a state-owned company. From a structural point of view, the completion of the existing construction is inadmissible - due to contradictions with the development plan and safety standards, as well as due to the replacement of the contracting authority with an already conducted public procurement with a selected contractor, according to the findings. 

However, an advance payment of over BGN 9 million was made to a consortium of companies.
