Bulgaria declares 10 Russian diplomats persona non grata

After assessments by competent authorities of the Republic of Bulgaria and in coordination with Prime Minister Kiril Petkov, the country declared 10 Russian diplomats in Sofia persona non grata. They have 72 hours to leave the country.

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Vasil Georgiev presented the respective verbal note to Ambassador Eleonora Mitrofanova.

According to information by the authorities, on the territory of the Republic of Bulgaria employees of the Embassy of the Russian Federation carried out activities that were incompatible with the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations, the website of the Bulgarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs reads.
