Supporters of the Bulgarian ultranationalist party Vazrazhdane gathered in front of the parliament building to protest against the government.

They demanded that Bulgaria stay neutral towards the war in Ukraine. Most of the protesters were transported by buses, reports BGNES.

They held up the sign of Russian aggression in Ukraine the letter Z and posters reading "Neutrality. Peace in Bulgaria and the world", "No to war", "No to US bases in Bulgaria".

Protesters blocked the central boulevard in front of the parliament. Kostadin Kostadinov, the leader of Vazrazhdane, said that today the parliament was supposed to vote on a decision to provide military aid to Ukraine, but "the protest scared the deputies".

Kostadinov warned that the protest would not be a one-off.
