MPs nearly came to a fight in the plenary hall after a statement by MP Iskren Mitev, from the ruling party We Continue the Change.

"Clearly, Mr Kopeikin betrayed the people by buying a house with their money. What money he had left, he turned into euros, vaccinated himself and finally picked up a card to show that he was more human than others," he said from the parliamentary rostrum.

The leader of Vazrazhdane party Kostadin Kostadinov recognized himself in this statement and asked for the floor from the deputy speaker of parliament Kristian Vigenin, but when he did not get it, he went to the bank of Iskren Mitev.

Mitev, in turn, pulled his opponent's necktie and only the intervention of other MPs prevented the physical scuffle. Later, National Assembly Speaker Nikola Minchev commented that the case would be discussed at a presidential council and probably Kostadinov and Mitev would be sanctioned.
