A large-scale police operation is underway, involving the General Labour Inspectorate, teams from Greece, Croatia and Latvia.

Drivers of heavy goods vehicles and buses are being tested for narcotic drugs, and the validity of their documents is being checked. The road safety operation, which will continue until Sunday, is being carried out along Struma motorway near Blagoevgrad. It also includes labour legislation compliance and international carriage checks with a view to the legal posting of drivers abroad. For the purpose, declarations in several languages have been drawn up.
