The European Commission is expecting from Bulgaria definitive convictions in high-level corruption cases. This is one of the recommendations to the country contained in this year’s annual EU rule of law report.

The report also says guarantees must be provided that the institutional reforms of the anti-corruption commission and the specialized judicial bodies will make investigation more effective.
