Road repair and maintenance companies begin three-day protests and road blocks

Road repair and maintenance companies have launched protests nationwide. The protest in Sofia is in front of parliament building and will continue with a procession of cars and heavy-duty vehicles which will slow down traffic along Sofia’s circular road. At the same time the protestors, who are demanding that the government pay road companies EUR 360 million, will block thoroughfares around the countries for one hour at a time. 

Traffic will be blocked at 18 busy traffic locations in the country for one hour at: Blagoevgrad, Lovech, Veliko Turnovo, Turgovishte, Shumen, Plovdiv, Stara Zagora, Burgas, Haskovo, Montana, Pleven, Ruse, Pernik, Blagoevgrad, Samokov and Chepelare.
