Bulgaria reports slight drop in number of new Covid-19 infections

1,944 is the number of new Covid-19 cases out of 7,833 tests performed in the country in the past day, 247 down on the previous day. Over 62% of the new infections are among the unvaccinated. The positivity rate stands at 24.8%, down from 27.2% the day before, Single Coronavirus Information Portal data show. The number of active coronavirus cases is up by 1,036 to 21,924.

145 is the number of new hospital admissions, 111 of them or 76.5% are not vaccinated. The number of patients being treated in hospital is up by 11 to 968, of them 50 are in intensive care.

6 patients have died in the past day, 5 of them were not vaccinated. 902 are reported as recovered.

3,941 doses of vaccine were administered on Wednesday.
