Weather forecast: Temperatures rise slightly, brief showers

Tomorrow, 17 August, the weather will be predominantly sunny. At midday and in the afternoon cumulus clouds will develop over the mountain regions and in the Eastern parts of the country, and there will be occasional showers with thunder in the mountains. There will be a light to moderate wind in the Danubian Plain from the West-Northwest. Temperatures will rise slightly to reach 31°C. - 36° C., for Sofia - 30° C. -31° C.

Along the Black Sea coast there will be sun with a temporary increase of clouds, more significant in the afternoon when there may be brief showers in places, and thunder. There will be a light Northwesterly wind. Maximum temperatures will reach 29° C. -32° C., temperature of the seawater 25° C. -27° C., sea state 1.

Over the mountains the weather will be predominantly sunny. Around midday and in the afternoon cumulonimbus clouds will develop, especially over Mounts Rila and the Rhodopes and there will be occasional showers and thunder. There will be a moderate Northwesterly wind. Maximum temperature at an altitude of 1,200 m around 25° C., at 2,000 m. 18° C.
