Thanks to a contract with Finnish manufacturer ICEYE and a fundraising campaign, Ukraine's armed forces now get quick access to high-resolution satellite images 24 hours a day, including at night or in cloudy weather, BTA reported. According to Ukrainian Defense Minister Oleksii Reznikov, combining reconnaissance photos with modern weapons will open up new opportunities for Ukraine's armed forces against Russian troops.

As for the situation surrounding the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant, the provocation expected by Russia on the part of Ukraine, in connection with the visit of UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres to the country, did not take place. During his visit to Odessa, Guterres insisted that the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant not be disconnected from Ukraine's power grid after Ukraine's state nuclear company Energoatom again warned that Russian forces planned to shut down the plant and deprive Ukraine of the electricity it produces.

In a telephone conversation, the presidents of France and Russia, Emmanuel Macron and Vladimir Putin, agreed that the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant should be inspected by the International Atomic Energy Agency as soon as possible.

At the same time, Russian forces have carried out limited attacks in the Bakhmut, Izyum, Siversk and Kharkiv regions, with Russia visibly stepping up security measures in Crimea.
