Ukraine marks 31 years of independence from Soviet rule. This happens six months after the beginning of the Russian invasion in the country, On this occasion, in an interview with CNN, Ukrainian Defense Minister Oleksii Reznikov said that the worst-case scenario for a Russian military invasion is already behind the Ukrainians, BTA reports.

According to Reznikov, Ukraine has now entered a phase of stabilization of the situation on the battlefield with small movement of units and creation of good deterrents. Reznikov said that Ukrainian forces have launched a counteroffensive "in a different direction," but "fatigue syndrome" in the international community is among the main threats to his country's fight against Russian invasion.

Ukraine now exports almost as much grain as it did before the Russian invasion, Washington analysts pointed out. According to the source quoted by AFP, the country is on track to export nearly 4 million tons of agricultural products in August. Before the war, Ukraine exported about 5 million tons per month.

Thanks to the July 22 agreement between Kyiv and Moscow under the auspices of the UN and Turkey, some 33 ships with a total of about 720,000 tons of grain have departed from Ukrainian Black Sea ports. In addition, at the initiative of the EU, about 2.5-3 million tons of grain were transported by freight trains, the source quoted by BTA also said.
