Pink tomatoes - the main character of a festival in the centre of Sofia

For the sixth year in a row, the Prince's Garden in the capital Sofia will host the Pink Tomato Festival. Throughout Saturday, visitors will have the opportunity to try interesting recipes specially prepared by the most famous Bulgarian chefs and guests from abroad and to buy traditional products from producers.

Chefs Giovanni Baldantoni and Enza Barbaro will demonstrate how Bulgarian tomatoes are used to prepare various dishes according to an Italian recipe.

Various types of Bulgarian craft beer will also be exhibited.

During the festival, creative workshops related to environmental protection and nature-friendly lifestyle, urban gardening and traditional dishes typical of some of the most picturesque villages in North-West Bulgaria will be held.
